Please join us all in Memorial Hall following the service for refreshments and fellowship as guests of the SOS (Sisters of Spirits) Women’s Group.  Next week, the Property Committee will be our hosts only if the ecumenical service is held here in the church in the event of rain.

UPCOMING EVENTS IN THE COMMUNITY

 

 

USHERS NEEDED FOR SUMMER SERVICES – If you are interested in ushering for Labour Day weekend, kindly sign the sheet on the office hallway table. 

ECUMENICAL SERVICE, SUNDAY AUGUST 29TH 10:30 a.m. – In Mercille Park, across from the library (in case of rain, it will be held here). There will be a BBQ after the service held at St. Francis starting at noon.  Tickets 5$ per person, available at St-Francis of Assisi. Please call ahead for ordering purposes 450-671-6149. Hot dogs, chicken burgers, corncobs, watermelon, coffee and juice, donations of treats and salads are welcome.  Bring a lawn chair if you can!

RUMMAGE DELIVERY SCHEDULE – The Rummage Sale will take place on Saturday, Sept. 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. You may drop off rummage on Wed. and Sat. a.m. – 9:30–11:30 a.m. & Thurs. evenings 7–9 p.m., beginning this Wednesday, Aug. 11th.  Rummage will be accepted until noon on Wednesday, September 15th.  Please place your rummage in the appropriate area in room 20.  Books should be placed at the back of the stage in memorial hall.  If you need a furniture pick-up, please call Lew Llewelyn at 450-671-0756.

SPCA MONTÉRÉGIE DOG WALK Sunday, September 12th – 10 a.m.  See the poster on the bulletin boards.  At 1:30 p.m. the pet blessing will be conducted by Rev. Ian Mackay.  If you wish to participate, there are pledge forms available on the office hallway table.  The Dog Walk is this “no kill” shelter’s largest fund raiser for the year.  They need your support!  www.spcamonteregie.com 

SCHOOL SUPPLIES NEEDED AT ST. COLUMBA HOUSE – Needed items: binders, duo tangs, erasers, glue, scissors, rulers, notebooks, pencils, pens, highlighters.  Supplies can be dropped off at St. Columba House, 2365 Grand Trunk, Point St. Charles after August 30th or brought to the Presbytery by September 14th .

CALLING ALL ARTISTS - St. Mary’s Church will be hosting their 7th annual Arts and Craft fair October 16th from 9:30 to 3 pm at 735 Miller in Greenfield Park.  If you would like to display your hand made crafts, call now to book your space: Elaine Lemay 672-9389 or Lise Lamere 671-0416.
