WEDDING POLICIES

INTERVIEWS

·         All couples wishing to be married will meet with the minister after setting up an appointment by contacting the church office.  The wedding service is under the direction of the minister and all special requests may be made through him.

·         You are asked to bring a photocopy of your birth certificates and divorce papers, if applicable.

·         A second meeting will be scheduled a few weeks prior to the wedding date to examine the wedding service and reconfirm all intentions and wedding plans.

 

WEDDING SERVICE

·         All wedding services will be handled by, and placed under the direction of the minister.

 

MUSIC

·         Organ and piano music for all weddings is under the direction of the organist, Ron Bourne.

 

PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY

·         Pictures during the wedding service are restricted to one person designated as official photographer and must be handled very discreetly in order to maintain the sanctity and integrity of the wedding service.  Both photographer and videographer must speak to the minister before the service.  After the service, you are welcome to stay at the church for more picture taking (maximum 30 minutes). 

 

SCHEDULING OF WEDDINGS

·         There are many requests for weddings.  The church will try to accommodate wedding requests for particular times and days.  Weddings are set on a one and a half-hour schedule.

 

LANGUAGE

·         Wedding services are conducted in English, with the inclusion of other languages, as requested.  Use of language can be worked out at the first appointment. 

 

REHEARSAL

·         A date and time will be set at the first interview for your wedding rehearsal. Everyone who is taking a formal part in the wedding service should be present.  Rehearsals are scheduled on an hourly basis, usually on Thursday or Friday in the late afternoon.

 

DECORATING

·         Decorating of the church can be arranged through a florist, or left in the hands of the church personnel.  The church has very attractive floral arrangements and pew bows available for weddings.
