JUNIOR CHOIR
St. Lambert United Church’s junior choir consists of approximately ten children who enthusiastically participate in our congregation’s music program, along with the senior choir and three handbell choirs.
Once again this year the Junior Choir performed exceptionally well for special services throughout the year. Their love of singing is evident in their enthusiastic participation. Their contribution to the Annual Gift of Music in December was a memorable one for everyone involved. They sang on their own as well as with our Senior Choir. Their smiling faces were a wonderful addition to the music of the evening. Christmas Eve featured an upbeat, swinging version of “Mary Did You Know” as well as “O Holy Night”.
The Junior Choir is directed by Roman and Jennifer Bhattacharya and accompaniment was provided by our organist, Ron Bourne. Thank you to all our singers, musicians and to our parents who so willingly drive our choristers to practices and sit patiently and wait after church on Sundays. Thank you also to the leadership provided by Darla Butler and Jai Mongiovi who provide a nurturing and fun environment for our children and young people, allowing them to express their musical preferences and talents. We could not do it without such enthusiasm!
