UNITED CHURCH MEN'S CLUB

 

The Men’s Club is a group of men in the congregation who come together for fellowship, to promote church activities, and to raise funds for church work. The Men’s Club is always open to anyone who wishes to participate and assist in any events.

 

Men’s Breakfast

 On the first Sunday of each month (except summer) the club sponsors a breakfast before the Church Service. Everyone is invited to these breakfasts. Each month brings different speakers providing information on a variety of interesting topics such as; financial planning, travel and mountain climbing. Topics also include information on such charities as HOPE and Our Harbour. These organizations are each given a donation to help with their good work.

Annual Rummage Sale

 The group works in partnership with the United Church Women to gather items and sell them in a large church-wide sale every September.

 

Antiques Arts & Crafts Sale

 This annual event is aided by the Men’s Club in setting up, selling plants, providing security and selling antique furniture.

 

Furniture Repairs

 As an extension to the Antique Furniture Sale, the club also repairs and refinished furniture for the sale and for individuals.
